Stuttgart Restoration has been a valuable partner while we have been conducting preservation work on a vehicle that is in constant service. Exceptionally knowledgeable fabricator and machinist.

It is rare to find someone in the trades with the combination of talent and professionalism represented by Austin at Stuttgart Restorations. Handwork is not something that can be rushed, and I am incredibly satisfied with the level of communication that was provided throughout the project. The craftsmanship is some of of the best around and it’s clear that there is a lot of attention going into the work. I look forward to continuing my project at Stuttgart Restoration, and It’s with confidence that I can recommend this shop to others.

I am doing a frame off restoration on a car from the 1950s. I called Austin looking to repair some severe rust damage on the hood. Austin was honest and explained that because of the unique shape , and complexity of the hood, that he really didn't know long it would take or how much it would cost me. When I got the hood back after Austin's repairs I was extremely impressed. He meticulously cut out all of the old rusted metal and fabricated new metal, then welded everything back together. It was obvious when the hood was manufactured, the hood had a design flaw where it would retain moisture and then rust. Not only did Austin repair my hood, but he waterproofed the spot (as well as the entire hood) where moisture would get trapped. He then cut out two small drain ports to let any future water drain out. After his repairs, the hood was better than factory! Austin also repaired several smaller metal parts for the car such as a vacuum canister and splash shield, which saved me the headache of trying locate new ones. I recommend Austin for any body/metal work you would want to get done correctly the first time with meticulous attention to detail.
